Job summary

Molex seeks an Engineer in Product Design within the DSS division to drive the development of new products from concept to market. You will lead design activities, create CAD models and drawings, and ensure designs meet customer requirements while optimizing manufacturability.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Project Management, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality across time zones, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable products and improvements

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing)
• Strong product design engineering knowledge with creativity and problem-solving skills
• Experience in design control, management, and engineering analysis
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Experience mentoring or supervising a team
• Proficiency in Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking customers and collaborators

Responsibilities

• Drive development of new product projects from concept through market introduction
• Research and develop innovative designs for product proposals and CAD models
• Lead design and development activities and ensure designs meet customer and Marketing requirements
• Create design specifications, perform design reviews for manufacturability and feasibility
• Coordinate with Legal for patent opinions and with internal teams for product validation
• Support product lifecycle and manufacturing process improvements
