Job summary

VG Offshore Containers International (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an engineer to liaise with clients, authorities and vendors, and to oversee designs, drawings, calculations and related documentation, while maintaining records.

The role covers monitoring manufacturing, fit-out, testing, and QA checks, performing factory acceptance tests, and contributing to cost savings through optimized designs, all while upholding Health, Safety and Environment standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant knowledge and experience in structural engineering (design and analysis).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Structural Analysis Software required.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client and identify their requirements.
• Liaise with certifying authorities to ensure product or service meets the relevant standard.
• Liaise with vendor and ensure product supplied by vendor meets the requirement.
• Read and interpret all engineering drawings.
• Responsible for designs, drawings, calculations and other documents related to product requirement.
• Liaise with other team members and ensure all designs, drawings, calculations and other documents meets the requirement/standards.
• Maintain soft and hard copies of records of all drawings and calculations submitted and approved in a systematic manner.
• Perform / Monitor manufacturing of products.
• Perform / Monitor fit out of equipment.
• Perform / Monitor all testing as per the requirement.

Job description

You will be responsible for designs, drawings, calculations, and related documentation, while maintaining systematic records of all submissions and approvals. The position includes monitoring manufacturing, fit-out, testing, and quality checks, as well as performing Factory Acceptance Tests and maintenance tasks. You will contribute to engineering savings through optimized designs and ensure Health, Safety & Environment standards are maintained at all times.

About you

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant knowledge and experience in structural engineering (design and analysis)

• Good problem analysis and solving skills
• Ability to work independently
