Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent.
• Strong grasp of mechanical design, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and regulations.
• PE registration preferred or willingness to pursue.
• Experience with FEA software is advantageous.
• Previous mechanical project experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyse and develop mechanical components, systems and assemblies using CAD software and engineering principles.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects and product developments.
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure safety, performance and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and documentation for manufacturing and procurement.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians and other departments to ensure project success.
• Oversee testing, QA and validation of mechanical systems and components.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation phases.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation in designs.

Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications and documentation for manufacturing and procurement

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and structural analysis

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in team environments

Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and regulations

Professional Engineering (PE) registration or willingness to pursue it is preferred

Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software is advantageous

Previous experience in mechanical engineering projects or related industries is desirable
