We sseeking a talented and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Bertam, Penang. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative mechanical engineering projects and solutions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical systems and components that drive our business forward. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet our clients' requirements and industry standards.
Design, analyse and develop mechanical components, systems and assemblies using CAD software and engineering principles
Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects and product developments
Perform calculations and simulations to ensure mechanical designs meet safety, performance and efficiency requirements
Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications and documentation for manufacturing and procurement
Collaborate with project managers, technicians and other departments to ensure successful project execution
Oversee testing, quality assurance and validation of mechanical systems and components
Provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases of projects
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation in mechanical designs
Maintain compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes and regulations
Contribute to continuous learning and stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering practices and technologies
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and structural analysis
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in team environments
Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and regulations
Professional Engineering (PE) registration or willingness to pursue it is preferred
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software is advantageous
Previous experience in mechanical engineering projects or related industries is desirable
