Job summary

STERLING GENERATORS MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer & Document Controller to develop detailed electrical and mechanical designs for buildings and industrial projects. You will manage all project documentation, ensure accurate revisions, and coordinate with teams and clients to meet standards and approvals.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks and BIM, and a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical

• 3–5 years of electro‑mechanical design and document control experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, and BIM (Revit or similar).
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems design for buildings, industrial plants, or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed electrical and mechanical designs, drawings, and schematics using AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, and BIM software.
• Manage project documentation as Document Controller, including drawing revisions, technical specifications, as-built drawings, submittals, and tracking.

Job description

Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer & Document Controller

Prepare and develop detailed electrical and mechanical designs, drawings, and schematics using AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, and BIM software.

Manage all project documentation as Document Controller — including drawing revisions, technical specifications, as-built drawings, submittals, and document tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

Perform design reviews, ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian standards (MS, IEC, etc.), and coordinate with project teams and clients.

Update and maintain document control systems, version control, and document registers.

Support design modifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions for approval.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in electro‑mechanical design and document control.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, and BIM (Revit or similar) is mandatory.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems design for buildings, industrial plants, or infrastructure projects.

Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
