Job summary

MOHD SUBALI MOTOR SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Mechanic to maintain, repair and service machinery across our Perak-based manufacturing and logistics operations. This hands-on role focuses on minimising downtime and maximising productivity through proactive maintenance and skilled troubleshooting.

You will work with a dedicated maintenance team, read and interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with safety standards while supporting production teams to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar maintenance role in manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems in mechanics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities for diagnosing complex issues.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication with production teams on maintenance activities.
• Physically fit for demanding maintenance work including at heights or confined spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they become critical problems

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or logistics environments
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems as they relate to mechanical operation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and prioritise effectively
• Good communication skills to work effectively with production teams and report on maintenance activities
• Physical fitness and willingness to perform physically demanding work, including working at height or in confined spaces where required
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical maintenance or engineering are desirable
