Job summary

JEJE Manufacturing (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems at our Negeri Sembilan site.

The ideal candidate will read electrical diagrams and technical drawings and be willing to work shifts. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems, carry out repairs, servicing, installation and replacement of machine components, and monitor equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience in maintenance in manufacturing is advantageous.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
• Willing to work shifts.
• Safety-conscious and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
• Carry out repair, servicing, installation, and replacement of machine components.
• Monitor machine condition and performance; assist in maintenance planning.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
• Assist contractors or external technicians during installation and repair work.
• Maintain housekeeping and store maintenance tools and spare parts.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and spare parts.

Job description

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
• Carry out repair, servicing, installation, and replacement of machine components.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment faults or breakdowns.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts, and equipment conditions.
• Assist in scheduled preventive maintenance programs according to maintenance plans.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out according to company SOPs and safety requirements.
• Monitor the condition and performance of machines and recommend necessary improvements.
• Work closely with production and other departments to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Assist contractors or external technicians during installation, servicing, and repair work when required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the maintenance area and tools are kept clean and organized.
• Ensure maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform any other duties related to maintenance as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing, factory, or industrial environments is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair machinery effectively.
• Able to read basic electrical wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
• Safety-conscious, responsible, disciplined, and proactive.
