Dunham Bush Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a senior leader to head Material Planning and Store teams. You will develop and implement inventory management strategies to improve efficiency and inventory performance, while coordinating with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics.
You will drive process improvements, material optimization, and system automation initiatives, establish robust inventory control plans, and mentor a high-performing team to achieve KPI targets and accurate stock

Lead the Material Planning and Store teams.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to improve efficiency and inventory performance.
Drive process improvement, material optimization, and system automation initiatives.
Establish and maintain inventory control and material management plans.
Manage team performance, including goal setting, coaching, training, and development.
Support stock take activities and ensure inventory accuracy.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Oversee material planning and coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Store, and Logistics to achieve KPI targets.
Participate in production planning meetings to ensure material availability aligns with customer requirements and production schedules.
Develop material forecasts based on production demand.
Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining inventory within cost and stock level targets.
Coordinate with Purchasing and Production to ensure on-time material supply.
Review material forecasts and implement appropriate inventory replenishment strategies (Push/Pull system).
Lead initiatives to reduce and dispose of slow-moving inventory.
Oversee daily store operations, including receiving, storage, stock control, and material dispatch.
Improve store processes and operational efficiency.
Ensure store procedures comply with company quality requirements.
Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock audits, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Access sales forecasts, production plans, procurement information, and inventory cost data for planning purposes.
Approve or reject material order requisitions and standard stocking requests.
Coordinate with Production Planning to adjust production priorities when required.
Request sales forecasts from the Sales Department.
Lead cross-functional improvement projects by engaging relevant departments.
Request production resources to support store operations when necessary.
The candidate must possess at least Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Business Management or any equivalent.
Minimum to have at least 10 years of manufacturing background and 5 years experience in managerial role.
