Job summary

GUH Circuit Industry seeks a meticulous Material Planning Executive to ensure seamless material flow and efficient coordination of manufacturing processes. Based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, this full-time on-site role focuses on aligning forecasts with real-time demand, managing procurement cycles, and maintaining accurate ERP data.

You will analyze usage patterns, generate inventory health reports, and work with suppliers to mitigate risks while supporting continuous improvements in planning

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a production control or material planning role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using production planning and control software, such as ERP systems.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Able to work with Microsoft Words, Excel and Powerpoint (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and data analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Material requirements management for a diverse service parts portfolio by aligning forecasts with demand data.
• Analyze historical usage to adjust planning parameters and ensure high fill rates with minimal obsolescence.
• Generate reports on inventory health, fill rates, and key planning metrics for management decisions.
• Execute PRs, POs, and RFQs through the full procurement cycle.
• Coordinate with suppliers to monitor lead times and resolve delays to mitigate risks.
• Participate in supplier selection, evaluation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Maintain precise planning and inventory data in the ERP system for reliability.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Finance on shipments and invoicing discrepancies.
• Review safety stock parameters and support continuous improvement in planning efficiency.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Planning Executive to join our dynamic team at GUH Circuit Industry (PG) Sdn Bhd. As a key member of our Production, Planning and Scheduling division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and the efficient coordination of our manufacturing processes. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Bayan Lepas, Penang facility.

What you'll be doing

Material Planning

Manage material requirements for a diverse service parts portfolio by aligning production forecasts with real-time demand data.

Analyze historical usage and material consumption patterns to adjust planning parameters, ensuring high fill rates while minimizing excess and obsolescence.

Generate and present comprehensive reports on inventory health, fill rates, and key planning metrics to drive management decisions.

Execute the full procurement cycle, including issuing Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and Requests for Quotations (RFQ).

Liaise with suppliers to monitor performance and lead times, proactively resolving delays to mitigate supply chain risks.

Participate in the selection, evaluation, and ongoing performance monitoring of external vendors to ensure service levels are met.

Maintain precise planning and inventory data within theEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP)system to ensure system reliability and accuracy.

Partner with Logistics to coordinate incoming shipments and collaborate with Finance to resolve invoicing or payment discrepancies.

Establish and review safety stock parameters to prevent shortages and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency.

To execute any other job responsibilities as and when required by the superior or any other persons designated by the Company

What we're looking for
