Job summary

MFS Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Master Planner to join our Batu Berendam, Melaka manufacturing site. This full-time role focuses on optimising production scheduling, resource allocation, and supply chain coordination to drive on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

You will develop and maintain comprehensive production plans aligned with demand forecasts and capacity constraints, collaborating with sales, procurement and operations to ensure optimal sequencing and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in production planning, master scheduling, or demand planning in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced planning software (SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-led approach.
• Understanding of lean principles and process optimisation.
• Experience in forecasting, capacity planning and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of MPS, MRP and JIT scheduling; CPIM qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

MFS Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Master Planner to join our manufacturing operations at our Batu Berendam, Melaka facility. This is a full-time position that plays a critical strategic role in optimising our production scheduling, resource allocation, and supply chain coordination. As Master Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive production plans that align with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and business objectives. This position is integral to ensuring operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness across our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master production schedules that balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity and supply chain constraints
• Conduct demand forecasting and analysis to anticipate production requirements and identify potential supply chain risks
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment between business needs and production capabilities
• Optimise production sequences and resource allocation to minimise lead times and reduce operational costs
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to maintain optimal stock whilst avoiding excess inventory
• Analyse production performance metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Manage capacity planning and identify constraints that may impact production schedules
• Prepare and present planning reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards in all planning activities
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery to customers

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in production planning, master scheduling, or demand planning within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced planning software (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex data sets
• Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimisation techniques
• Demonstrated experience in forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of manufacturing scheduling methodologies such as MPS, MRP, and Just-In-Time (JIT) principles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Certification in production planning, APICS CPIM, or equivalent qualification is advantageous
