Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a medium-size factory in Malaysia. You will be responsible for safety, production planning, processes, maintenance, quality, and inventory control, while managing production, engineering, maintenance, QA, warehousing and planning teams.

You will plan, monitor and analyze key metrics to ensure timely task completion and alignment with planning requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably with OEM or contract manufacturer.
• 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Experience in manufacturing for Precision Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Metal Stamping, Wire Harness, Cable, or Interconnect solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing operation of a medium-size factory (200-300+ headcount).
• Oversee EH&S, production planning, processes, maintenance, quality and inventory control.
• Lead production, engineering, maintenance, QA, warehousing/logistics and planning teams.
• Plan, monitor and analyze key metrics to meet production planning requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-reduction methods.
• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance and adherence by all employees.
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers on company-wide initiatives.
• Support customer complaints and service matters as required.
• Identify training needs and develop appropriate training.

Job description

Manage manufacturing operation of a medium-size factory (200-300+ headcount)

Responsible for the overall operations of the manufacturing facility including environmental health & safety, production planning, manufacturing processes and output, maintenance, quality and inventory control.

Manage a team for production / engineering / maintenance / QA, warehousing / logistic and planning departments

Plan, monitor, analyze and propose solutions for key metrics on the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks and alignment with production planning requirements

Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs; identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reduction methods that will maximize output and minimize costs

Responsible for managing the site safety and environmental compliance programs and for ensuring that all employees adhere to these policies

Controls quality assurance, cost of production, warehousing, receiving and shipping of all materials

Works closely with cross-functional peers to support company-wide business initiatives.

Support direct contact with customers on complaints and service matters as required.

Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided

Job Requirements

Diploma / Degree in technical discipline (Engineering / Science or related)

Overall 8-10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations, preferably with OEM or contract manufacturer

3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing Production, Engineering, and Quality teams

Manufacturing experience in ANY of these industry : Precision Machining / Sheet Metal Fabrication / Metal Stamping OR Wire Harness / Cable / Interconnect solution
