Seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead manufacturing operations. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Oversee and manage all manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain management.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Monitor production metrics and KPIs to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Manage and optimize the use of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the engineering market.
Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
Lead initiatives to improve product innovation and development.
Develop and manage the annual budget for manufacturing operations.
Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures.
Prepare financial reports and present to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure profitability and financial sustainability of manufacturing operations.
Oversee Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by customers or stakeholders.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align manufacturing capabilities with market demands.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
A Master's Degree (e.g., MBA or Engineering Management) is an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the precision engineering or semiconductor related manufacturing industries is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, process optimization, quality management, and supply chain coordination.
Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and resource planning.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Knowledge of ISO quality management systems, workplace safety regulations, and manufacturing compliance requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
