Confidential in Selangor seeks a General Manager Manufacturing to oversee Production, Plant Engineering and Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Packing, Lab, Compounding, HR, Finance and IT, driving end‑to‑end plant operations with a hands‑on leadership style.

You will set and achieve KPI targets, lead department heads, drive automation and lean initiatives, manage risks and regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to sustain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record as an Operations GM with a technical focus.
• Excellent commercial and entrepreneurial track record.
• Ability to lead large manufacturing and technical teams in a high-quality production environment.
• Strong technical and strategic thinking.
• Experience in Six Sigma or LEAN manufacturing.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Job description

General Manager Manufacturing are responsible for the management of a wide variety of departments in a manufacturing business. He/She should possess comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, as well as a deep knowledge of the requirements and capacities of various departments such as Production, Plant Engineering and Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Packing, Lab, Compounding, Human Resources, Finance, IT, and more.

• Direct responsibility for setting and achieving key indicator goals for the plant.
• Ensure cost effective management and efficient productivity.
• Leads and drives relevant departmental heads and managers; and play a big role in continuing the transformation of the company resources and communicating the corporate vision and goal to all level.
• Formulate strategy and tactical planning on area of concern and provides suggestion for continuous improvement.
• To drive and lead all automation projects, computerization programs and lean projects.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Stay up to date with latest manufacturing management best practices and concepts.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, adapting to market changes and maintaining a competitive edge.
