Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its manufacturing operations in the Precision Engineering and Sheet Metal sector. The role encompasses end-to-end operational oversight, strategic planning, budgeting, and P&L responsibility to drive profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain.
• Develop and implement policies to improve productivity and efficiency.

• Monitor KPIs, quality, delivery, and cost to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our manufacturing operations within the Precision Engineering and Sheet Metal sector.

1. Operational Management

Lead and oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain management.

Develop and implement operational policies, processes, and procedures to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

Monitor production performance, operational KPIs, quality, delivery, and cost metrics to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Optimize the utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and other operational resources.

2. Strategic Planning & Business Growth

Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential areas for growth within the precision engineering industry.

Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments to support business decision-making.

Drive initiatives related to process improvement, product innovation, and manufacturing capabilities.

Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the manufacturing business.

Monitor financial and operational performance and implement appropriate cost-control and productivity improvement initiatives.

Prepare and review financial reports and provide management with insights into business performance.

Take full responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the manufacturing operation, ensuring revenue, cost, margin, and profitability targets are achieved or exceeded.

Drive initiatives to improve operating margins and long‑term financial sustainability.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Take ownership of customer‑related issues and ensure timely resolution of operational or quality concerns.

Work closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to align manufacturing capabilities with customer and market requirements.

Represent the company at relevant industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows.

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within Precision Engineering and/or Sheet Metal fabrication.

Proven track record of leading and managing manufacturing operations and cross‑functional teams.

Strong understanding of precision engineering, sheet metal manufacturing processes, quality management, and supply chain operations.

Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing teams and drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Strong capabilities in strategic planning, financial management, budgeting, and P&L management.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and business management skills.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth and profitability improvement.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and dynamic manufacturing environment, with the ability to adapt to changing business priorities.
