Job summary

Hiap Teck Venture Berhad in Meru, Selangor invites an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations. You will oversee production equipment reliability, develop strategies, and manage budgets to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 8 years in a similar role, and the ability to lead a team, solve urgent issues under pressure, and communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in maintenance management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Mandarin fluency preferred for client interactions.
• Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making.
• Proven leadership to motivate a maintenance team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance teams including technicians and tradespeople.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to schedule maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes.
