Hiap Teck Venture Berhad in Meru, Selangor invites an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations. You will oversee production equipment reliability, develop strategies, and manage budgets to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 8 years in a similar role, and the ability to lead a team, solve urgent issues under pressure, and communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients where needed.

About the role

Hiap Teck Venture Berhad is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our facility in Meru, Selangor. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment and infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and programs to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency

Coordinating and supervising the work of maintenance teams, including technicians and tradespeople

Analyzing maintenance data and identifying opportunities for improvement

Collaborating with production and engineering teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities

Ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations

Preparing maintenance budgets and monitoring expenditures

Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a manufacturing field

Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

Proven ability to lead and motivate a maintenance team

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
