Job summary

Nexpipo in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations Manager to build and oversee a newly opened tuition centre. You will establish processes, recruit and manage staff, and coordinate teaching and admin activities to deliver a smooth, well-organised learning environment.

Leading day-to-day operations, you'll drive enrolment, retention, and centre growth while maintaining high service standards for parents and students. Mandarin communication is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in operations or centre/branch management.
• Experience in tuition centres or education is a plus.
• Experience managing teachers and admin staff.
• Experience setting up a new centre or operation.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and people management skills.
• Mandarin ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Centre setup including facilities, equipment, materials, admin systems, and procedures.
• Oversee daily centre activities, scheduling, and a well-organised learning environment.
• Establish SOPs, workflows, attendance tracking, student registration, and reporting.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, supervise, and support teachers and staff.
• Coordinate class timetables, classrooms, teacher assignments, and resources.
• Manage enrolment records, attendance, class arrangements, and fees.
• Handle parent inquiries with professional communication and service standards.
• Support student enrolment, retention, and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor schedules, readiness, service standards, and student/parent experience.
• Monitor expenses, supplies, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare operational reports on student numbers, enrolment, attendance, and KPIs.
• Identify gaps and propose improvements for efficiency and growth.
