Job summary

Bellworth Developments Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a senior project manager to oversee M&E in high-rise building projects. You will coordinate with consultants, project teams and contractors to deliver on time, within budget and to specification, covering design, construction, installation and commissioning phases.

The role requires extensive site management experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a track record of successful mixed-development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong AutoCAD and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) skills.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants and contractors for site issues.
• Quality-conscious with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in mixed development projects is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works comply with contracts and drawings.
• Meet with consultants, project team and contractors to plan design, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Regularly report progress to the Manager on building works and issues.
• Liaise with internal and external consultants, team and contractors regarding approvals.
• Manage mechanical and electrical elements of high-rise buildings onsite.
• Oversee onsite installation and commissioning of all M&E activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and third parties as appropriate.
• Develop design concepts and options.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Job description

Ensure works are carried out in accordance with the contracts and construction drawings.

Meeting with consultants, project team and contractors on a regular basis to ensure the design, construction, installation, and commissioning works are planned.

Regularly report to the Manager on the progress of the building works and the problem areas encountered.

To liaise with internal and external consultants, project team and contractors in keeping track on the authority approval status of the projects assigned.

Managing mechanical and electrical elements of high-rise buildings.

Take responsibility for and manage the onsite installation and commissioning of all M&E activities.

Liaise with consultants, project team, contractors, suppliers and third parties as appropriate.

Manage development of design concept and options.

Perform other ad-hoc tasks are assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.

At least 8 years of working experience in construction project management or relevant field.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office such as Power Point, Word and Excel are required.

Ability to coordinate with consultants and contractors for solving any site technical issues.

Quality awareness, good communication and interpersonal skills are preferable.

Experience in mixed development projects is an added advantage.
