Job summary

BEAR LIVING CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a responsible M&E Coordinator to manage mechanical and electrical works at construction sites. You will ensure installations follow approved drawings, project specs, and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in M&E coordination, reads drawings well, and is proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office. On-site work and meetings are part of the role, with collaboration across consultants and subcontractors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works at project sites to ensure smooth execution
• Review and check construction drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams regarding M&E coordination matters
• Coordinate M&E installations with architectural and structural works to prevent clashes and construction conflicts
• Monitor subcontractors' daily work progress and ensure installations follow approved drawings and project schedules
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety and technical requirements
• Attend site meetings, technical coordination meetings and progress meetings
• Identify and report technical issues, discrepancies and site coordination problems to the Project Manager
• Assist in preparing site progress reports, inspection records and other relevant M&E documentation
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and assist with project handover

Key responsibilities

About you

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems and construction processes

Ability to read and interpret M&E construction drawings and technical specifications

Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

Able to work independently and cooperate effectively with consultants, subcontractors and project teams

Willing to work on-site and attend project meetings when required
