Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a senior in-house legal counsel to guide commercial, corporate and operational matters across the group in Malaysia. You will review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, service contracts and joint ventures while advising management on legal risks.

The role requires a strong background in Malaysian law, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate with external counsel on disputes, arbitration and litigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
• 8–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in commercial, corporate or in-house legal practice preferred.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian laws, commercial contracts and dispute resolution.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience handling negotiations, arbitration and litigation.
