HeiTech Padu Berhad, a leading ICT solutions provider in Malaysia, seeks a seasoned Lead Industrial Relations to manage disputes, advise management, and ensure compliance with all labour laws. You will liaise with Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan, Jabatan Tenaga Kerja, and other authorities, guiding the HR team through current practices and risk mitigation.

Lead and manage all industrial relations (IR) disputes and employee claims lodged against the Company with Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan and Jabatan Tenaga Kerja.
Act as the Company’s liaison and representative in dealings with Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan, Jabatan Tenaga Kerja, and other relevant statutory authorities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with officials from the Malaysian Employers Federation, Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan, and Jabatan Tenaga Kerja to stay informed on current industrial relations practices and seek guidance where necessary.
Provide timely and appropriate advice to Management on industrial relations matters, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Ensure all industrial relations practices comply with the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and other applicable labour legislation.
Lead and drive all Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) initiatives to ensure timely, fair, and amicable resolution of issues.
Provide sound recommendations and strategic advice to Management to support informed decision-making on IR/ER matters, in compliance with Company policies and applicable labour laws.
Lead, coach, and mentor HR team members by enhancing their knowledge of current labour laws, industry best practices, and Company policies and procedures in the management of IR/ER matters.
Review, analyse, and present key insights to Management on emerging IR/ER trends, ongoing IR cases, court awards, and potential risk exposure arising from changes in labour legislation and global labour practices
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum at least 5 years in an Industrial Relations / Employee Relations (IR/ER) managerial role.
Proven hands-on experience in managing employee disciplinary cases, conducting domestic inquiries, and representing the Company at Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan and the Industrial Court.
Strong knowledge and sound interpretation of Malaysian labour laws, statutory requirements, and prevailing industry practices.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with high integrity, sound judgment, and strong decision-making skills.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and people management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
