Job summary

HeiTech Padu Berhad, a leading ICT solutions provider in Malaysia, seeks a seasoned Lead Industrial Relations to manage disputes, advise management, and ensure compliance with all labour laws. You will liaise with Jabatan Perhubungan Perusahaan, Jabatan Tenaga Kerja, and other authorities, guiding the HR team through current practices and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Law, Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in an Industrial Relations / Employee Relations managerial role.
• Proven hands-on experience in managing employee disciplinary cases and representing the Company at statutory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all industrial relations disputes and employee claims with relevant authorities.
• Act as the Company’s liaison and representative with authorities and statutory bodies.
• Build strong relationships with officials to stay informed on IR practices and guidance.
• Provide timely advice to Management on IR matters including risk assessment and mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967 and other labour laws.
• Lead IR and ER initiatives to ensure fair and amicable resolutions.
• Provide strategic recommendations to support informed management decisions on IR/ER matters.
• Coach HR team on labour laws and company policies.
• Review IR trends, ongoing cases, and potential risk exposures.
