Job summary

Sunway Building Materials Group seeks an experienced Factory Operations Lead to oversee daily plant activities, ensure output targets, maintain quality, and meet delivery schedules.

You will coordinate across Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Stores, Logistics and Planning; drive continuous improvement, safety, ISO compliance, and cost optimisation to support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily factory operations to meet output, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Oversee production planning, manpower allocation, workflow management, and resource utilisation.
• Monitor plant performance, operational efficiency, downtime, and key production indicators.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Store/Yard, Logistics, and Planning teams to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities are well maintained to support safe and reliable operations.
• Review production, maintenance, quality, and safety reports to support decision‑making.
• Lead and guide supervisors, executives, and operational teams in achieving factory goals.
• Enforce discipline, work procedures, and compliance with company policies across the factory floor.
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise costs.
• Support training and competency development for factory employees.
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and administrative control for all factory‑related activities.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) by following all relevant procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements, and promptly reporting any quality issues, environmental concerns, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Senior Management.
