Sunway Building Materials Group in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Production Supervisor to help manage daily production activities, ensuring output, quality, and timely delivery while upholding safety and ISO standards.
You will lead a team of Supervisors and Operators, monitor performance and machine utilization, coordinate production schedules and resources, and drive improvements to reduce waste and boost productivity on the factory floor.
Assist in managing daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Monitor production performance, machine utilisation, and efficiency trends.
Support planning and coordination of production schedules and resource allocation.
Help resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues.
Guide and support Production Supervisors, Leaders, and Operators.
Assist with manpower planning, shift arrangements, and task assignments.
Support coaching, training, and development of production team members.
Ensure production processes follow quality standards and required specifications.
Coordinate with QA/QC, Maintenance, and other teams to address production defects or issues.
Promote safe work practices and ensure operational discipline on the shop floor.
Ensure adherence to the company’s Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) by following all relevant procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements, and promptly reporting any quality issues, environmental concerns, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Review and verify production reports, manpower reports, downtime summaries, and operational records.
Provide production inputs needed for Planning, HR, Finance, and Management reporting.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of production activities.
Participate in improvement initiatives to optimise workflow, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to the Production Manager.
Assist the Production Manager in daily decision‑making and factory floor oversight.
Perform any tasks assigned by the Factory Head or Management.
Qualification : Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, or related fields.
Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
