SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Management Trainee, Quality Engineer on a 1-year fixed term contract. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining quality systems, ensuring products meet stringent specifications, and driving continuous improvement across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and related quality objectives.

The candidate should hold a degree in science or engineering, with fresh graduates welcomed and less than one year of relevant manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• A degree in Science or Engineering (Technology, Engineering, Physics or related fields).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged for the position.
• < 1 year working experience in manufacturing plant or relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Plan and systematically implement activities within the quality system to provide confidence that products meet requirements.
• Assure implementation of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
• Review customer requirements, specifications and supplier agreements to ensure quality.
• Develop quality control and inspection plans for new articles and release products that conform to specs.
• Plan and perform failure analysis on returned parts and drive root cause using 8D.

Job description

Management Trainee, Quality Engineer (1 Year Fixed Term Contract)

To plan and systematically implement activities within the quality system that can be demonstrated to provide confidence that a product or service will fulfill requirements for quality.

Key responsibilities

Assure implementation of ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems

Assess jobs to be done, plan for necessary resources, and define job descriptions

Accomplish quality assurance human resource objectives by selecting, training, assigning and communicating job expectations

Review customer requirements and specifications, raw material technical properties, supplier and customer agreements

Drive team to create comprehensive and well-structured design review

Develop quality control and inspection plans for new articles

Perform in-process audit to assure production runs conform to control plans

Develop quality processes that assure only products conforming to specification are shipped to customers

Plan and perform failure analysis on customer returned parts and drive root cause analysis using 8D approach

About you

A degree in Science or Engineering (Technology, Engineering, Physics or any other related fields)

Fresh graduates are encouraged for the position

< 1 year working experience in manufacturing plant or other relevant fields.

Knowledge in SPC and FMEA

Preferably with knowledge or experience as auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

Advanced level in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage
