Join Lotus’s Commercial Management Trainee Programme, a fast-track 6-month development programme designed to build the next generation of Buying Managers and Commercial Leaders. Through immersive learning experiences, hands‑on business exposure, and structured development, you will acquire the commercial, analytical, and leadership capabilities needed to drive category growth and business performance in one of Malaysia’s leading retailers.

Throughout the programme, you will gain practical exposure to key areas of commercial management, including category management, buying, merchandising, product selection, pricing, promotions, supplier management, and retail performance. Working closely with experienced commercial leaders, you will develop a strong understanding of the retail business and contribute to real business initiatives that create value for our customers and the organisation.

We are looking to recruit 10 high‑potential graduates who are analytical, commercially minded, proactive, and eager to learn. Successful trainees will be well‑positioned to pursue future opportunities within our Commercial and Buying teams, supporting Lotus’s growth and long‑term success.

Key Responsibilities:

· Undergo the structured 6‑month development programme, including learning sessions, on‑the‑job training and business assignments.

· Gain exposure to key commercial functions, including category management, buying, merchandising, product selection, pricing and promotional activities.

· Support commercial teams in analysing product and category performance, market trends, competitor activities and business opportunities.

· Assist in reviewing sales performance and relevant commercial data to support business decisions and category improvement initiatives.

· Contribute to projects and assignments aimed at improving commercial performance, operational effectiveness and the customer offer.

· Collaborate with Buying Managers and cross‑functional teams to gain an understanding of the end‑to‑end retail business.

· Prepare and deliver project updates, findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

· Demonstrate continuous learning, ownership and the ability to apply knowledge gained throughout the programme.

Requirements:

Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Economics or other relevant fields.
