Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital seeks a junior to mid-level accountant to support the management accounting function under supervision, handling full sets for smaller entities and assisting on major company accounts. The role covers monthly closings, internal reporting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or ACCA/CPA or equivalent.
• 0–2 years work experience.
• Good computer literacy – familiar with Microsoft applications.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight reporting timelines.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior in handling full set of accounts for assigned major company, including month-end and year-end closing activities
• Independently prepare full set of accounts for smaller and/or dormant entities in accordance with approved accounting standards and group policies
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing in line with group reporting timelines
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation
• Support preparation of management reports, including variance analysis and explanation of financial performance
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities
• Assist in audit, tax, and other statutory reporting matters
• Ensure compliance with e-Invoicing requirements, company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., auditors) when required
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
