Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a junior management accountant to support the management accounting function in our Malaysia office. You will assist in preparing accounts for a major company under supervision and independently handle full sets of accounts for smaller or dormant entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with group policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or ACCA/CPA or equivalent is required.
• 0–2 years work experience is preferred.
• Good computer literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight reporting timelines.
• Detail-oriented with strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior in handling full set of accounts for assigned major company, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Independently prepare full set of accounts for smaller and/or dormant entities in accordance with approved accounting standards and group policies.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing in line with group reporting timelines.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation.
• Support preparation of management reports, including variance analysis and explanation of financial performance.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities.
• Assist in audit, tax, and other statutory reporting matters.
• Ensure compliance with e-Invoicing requirements, company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., auditors) when required.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
