Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Accountant and Finance Manager with reporting, consultant module, and administrative tasks. You will prepare income statements, payroll reconciliations, monthly treasury reports, and assist with audits and financial data submissions.

The role requires a Diploma in Accounting or Business and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and hospital billing processes.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to handle invoices, payments, and financial records accurately.
• Good attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with medical and admin teams.
• Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of basic healthcare compliance and policies.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing consultant income and related statements.
• Prepare monthly departmental profit and loss for revenue.
• Prepare monthly payroll reconciliation for related payroll codes.
• Verify stock take counts before posting.
• Perform cash counts twice daily and reconcile with reports.
• Assist in preparing slide requests by Finance Manager.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors, tax agents, and bankers.
• Check payment vouchers for accuracy of details and payee.
• Manage safe box combination for cashier unit.
• Check bank balances and arrange urgent payments.
• Prepare monthly treasury report for KPJ Headquarter.
• Adhere to OSH Act and hospital policies.
• Support reporting requests from KPJ Headquarter.
• Handle other assignments as required by Accountant and Finance Manager.
