Job summary

Spruson & Ferguson Malaysia is seeking a proactive HR Executive to support the office across HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement, and HR projects. You will work closely with the regional HR team in Singapore, ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations and strengthening people practices on the ground.

This hands-on generalist role balances operations with opportunities to improve processes, build stakeholder relationships, and contribute to regional initiatives that enhance the employee

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in HR, business administration, or related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist or HR operations role.
• Good working knowledge of Malaysian HR practices and employment legislation.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment and the employee lifecycle (onboarding, documentation, offboarding).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholders at all levels.
• Discretion and professionalism with confidential information.
• Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working independently on the ground with regional collaboration.
• Experience with SuccessFactors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Talent Acquisition end-to-end activities for Malaysia, including posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers and onboarding.
• Manage day-to-day HR operations: onboarding, documentation, contracts, confirmations, movements and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate HR records, HR systems, and personnel documentation.
• Coordinate benefits administration, medical insurance enrollment, and payroll support with regional HR team.
• Serve as first contact for employees and managers on routine HR matters.
• Review and maintain HR policies, the Employee Handbook, and related materials.
• Ensure HR practices align with Malaysian employment laws with regional partners.
• Coordinate communication and implementation of updated HR policies and initiatives.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture in Malaysia.
• Partner with regional HR on projects like policy updates, compensation reviews, and process improvements.
