You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising metal packaging production equipment and processes, ensuring peak efficiency and supporting production targets.

The ideal candidate has technical qualifications in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance, proven experience in manufacturing, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or certification in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.
• Proven experience as a Technician in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong knowledge of machinery operation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and maintenance schedules.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on production equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Install, repair and replace machinery components as required.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with production staff to address equipment concerns.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance tasks.
• Assist in training junior technicians and production team members.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements or upgrades.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and perform urgent repairs.
