Job summary

Ken Prima Cosmeceuticals Sdn. Bhd. in Prai, Penang, is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Production) to maintain and service production machinery, ensure safe operations, and uphold GMP standards.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, assist with installation and commissioning, and document all maintenance activities. Ideal candidates have a Certificate/SKM in Electrical or Mechatronics and experience in manufacturing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Certificate/SKM in Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical or machinery maintenance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, control panels, motors, sensors, and production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily routine, general, and preventive maintenance of production machinery, facilities, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic calibration to ensure machinery operates efficiently and reliably.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective electrical and mechanical components of machinery and equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting involving motors, sensors, control panels, switches, and other electrical components.
• Assist in the installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance, repair, inspection, and testing activities.
• Practice GMP requirements within the plant.
• Report equipment issues to Maintenance Engineering team.

Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Production) to join our team at Ken Prima Cosmeceuticals Sdn. Bhd., a manufacturer of Personal Care and Cosmetics Products.

The role is responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations while upholding good maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

Carry out daily routine, general, and preventive maintenance of production machinery, facilities, and building systems.

Perform preventive maintenance and basic calibration to ensure machinery operates efficiently and reliably.

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective electrical and mechanical components of machinery and equipment.

Perform electrical troubleshooting involving motors, sensors, control panels, switches, and other electrical components.

Assist in the installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.

Conduct inspections and identify potential equipment problems before breakdowns occur.

Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance, repair, inspection, and testing activities.

Practice and maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements within the plant.

Carry out duties in accordance with the Company's Quality System and ensure standards such as ISO 9001:2015, GMP, FDA, Halal and RSPO are consistently practiced and maintained.

Report any equipment issues that may cause breakdowns, safety concerns, or affect production performance to the Maintenance Engineering team.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

About you

Possess at least a Certificate/SKM in Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.

Candidates with experience in electrical or machinery maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment, will have an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, control panels, motors, sensors, and production machinery.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Highly self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.

Willing to work during odd hours, overtime, or on-call when required.

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
