Job summary

BP Plastics Sdn Bhd is seeking a maintenance technician in Batu Pahat, Johor to perform routine and preventive maintenance, electrical/mechanical repairs, and on-call emergency support. The role supports production lines and ensures safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering and has 1+ year of experience, with 3-phase wiring experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering required.
• At least 1 year of related working experience.
• 3-phase wiring experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work in rotation shifts.
• On-call availability for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance as instructed by Maintenance Engineer.
• Attend to emergency corrective maintenance when required.
• Report abnormalities to Maintenance Engineer.
• Handle mechanical and/or electrical repair activities.
• Ensure safety requirements are met through accident prevention steps.
• Assist production departments when lines cannot run.
• Log daily equipment usage, running hours and activities.
• Conduct basic welding as needed.
• Attend to repairs on damaged machinery/equipment.

Job description

Conducts routine / preventive maintenance activities instructed by Maintenance Engineer.

Attend to emergency corrective maintenance as and when required.

Reports abnormality to Maintenance Engineer

Handle mechanical and/or electrical repair activities.

Inspect necessary safety requirements are met through accident prevention steps.

Provide assistance and support to production departments in situation when line is unable to run.

Record daily equipment usage, running hours and work activities in personal log book.

Conduct basic welding practices as when required.

Attend to repair carried out on damaged machinery/equipment.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering

At least one (1) year of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Experience in 3 phases wiring will be added advantage

Able to work in rotation shifts

Able to attend on call during emergency
