Stenta Films (M) Sendirian Berhad in Bandar Baru Bangi, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment and facility systems. You will read schematics and diagrams for diagnostics and perform preventive maintenance on production machinery.
The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience, with knowledge of PLCs and a proactive approach to safety and reliability.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, machinery, and facility electrical systems. Read, interpret, and work with single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and maintenance activities. Maintain and troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems, including low-voltage panels and control components. Work with electrical components such as PCBs, inverters, sensors, solenoids, relays, timers, and safety relays.
Key responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, machinery, and facility electrical systems
Read, interpret, and work with single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and maintenance activities
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine inspections on production machinery and plant equipment
Utilize electrical testing and diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, and infrared thermometers
Maintain and troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems, including low-voltage panels and control components
Work with electrical components such as PCBs, inverters, sensors, solenoids, relays, timers, and safety relays
Support maintenance and basic troubleshooting of PLC-controlled systems and assist in integrating electrical control systems with production equipment
Coordinate with production, mechanical maintenance, and other departments to ensure machines operate at optimal efficiency and minimal downtime
Comply with safety procedures, electrical standards, and company policies when performing maintenance activities
Perform normal work hours (8:45am till 6:15pm, Mon-Fri) and overtime as required to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation
About you
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Competent in reading and interpreting single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers
Basic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an added advantage
Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Physically fit and able to work in industrial plant conditions
