Job summary

Aquaspersions Malaysia invites qualified candidates to join our maintenance team as Maintenance Technician. You will handle regular maintenance on mechanical, electrical and electronic systems across processing lines to keep production running smoothly.

We value candidates with a background in electrical/mechanical engineering and at least 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and capable of forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/SPVM/Vocational Certificate in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on mechanical, electrical and electronic components to minimize downtime.
• Inspect Electrical Wiring Systems, Utility System and Effluent Plant System, and take immediate action.
• Maintain records and filing of maintenance reports.
• Source appropriate mechanical, electrical and electronic parts for repairs and replacements.
• Ensure critical parts are available and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Keep work areas clean and uphold safe work practices; report unsafe conditions.
• Act as competent person (AESP) for confined space tasks and supervise entries under AGTES.

Job description

Responsible for handling maintenance of facility equipment and related machines to ensure it is in good condition and support the operation at optimum level.

Key responsibilities

Perform regular maintenance, especially on mechanical, electrical and electronic aspects of machines and processing lines to avoid production downtime

Conduct thorough inspection on the Electrical Wiring Systems, Utility System and Effluent Plant System and provide immediate actions to problems or defects

Comply with the Company's operating procedures in handling maintenance and repair works

Prepare report on timely and maintain proper filing of records

Provide recommendation on sourcing the right mechanical, electrical and electronics accessories for repair and replacement works

Ensure availability of parts for critical components and ability to respond immediately for critical breakdown

Perform housekeeping to ensure cleanliness of work area after repair works and at all times

Maintain safe work practices and report any unsafe incident immediately

Act as a competent person (AESP) for confined space tasks, ensuring compliance with safety procedures during maintenance work

Perform duties as a competent person under AGTES certification, including gas testing and supervising confined space entries during maintenance work

About you

Minimum SPM/SPVM/Vocational Certificate in Electrical Engineering/Electronic Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronic Engineering or its equivalent

3 years of work experience in a similar field or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair works of equipment and machinery

Able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Able to drive a forklift

AESP certification for confined space tasks

AGTES certification for gas testing and confined space supervision
