Job summary

TONGDA SMART TECH (MALAYSIA) Sdn Bhd – Kota, Kedah is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and optimize equipment management systems, establish asset ledgers and inventory controls, and drive energy-saving initiatives.

You will coordinate resources with production plans, supervise preventive maintenance, evaluate equipment needs, introduce new technologies, and ensure safe, compliant operation in line with product quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment management and maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of automation and energy-saving initiatives.
• Understanding of 5S and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment resources based on production plans and supervise equipment status.
• Formulate and supervise preventive maintenance schedules for stable operation.
• Assist in evaluating equipment resource requirements, reviews, and procurement.
• Drive introduction and application of new technologies and automation equipment.
• Track equipment performance, organize training for relevant personnel.

TONGDA SMART TECH (MALAYSIA) Sdn Bhd – Kota, Kedah

Develop and optimize equipment management systems and processes, establish asset ledgers and inventory control mechanisms to improve equipment utilization, promote automation implementation, and drive energy saving and efficiency-enhancing initiatives.

• Coordinate equipment resources based on production plans, supervise and verify the equipment status proactively to ensure meet the production scheduling and smooth operation.
• Formulate and supervise preventive maintenance schedules and ensure stable and efficient operation of the equipment.
• Assist PMC in evaluating equipment resource requirements as planned, participate in reviews and procurement, and monitor equipment function and procurement cycles to ensure delivery of equipment on schedule.
• Drive the introduction and application of new technologies and automation equipment, track the function and performance of newly introduced equipment, organize and coordinate training for relevant equipment personnel to meet the company's strategic development needs.
• Evaluate regularly the compatibility of existing equipment with production processes, formulate effective and develop feasible transformation plans for equipment, track implementation, optimize processes, and reduce costs
• participate in the development and implementation of workshop layout and transformation initiatives, while formulating and implementing environment optimization plans in line with product quality standards and process requirements to meets customer quality requirements.
• Monitor the safety operation and protection of equipment and machinery to eliminate potential safety hazards, while establishing 5S management standards and plan the layout of each area on site, to supervise the implementation of on-site 5S management at all levels
