Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, availability, and efficiency of production machinery, equipment, utilities, and facilities. The role leads the maintenance team, develops preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manages maintenance budgets, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to support safe and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Ensure all production machines are operational and capable of meeting production requirements.
- Minimise machine downtime and production interruptions.
- Attend and resolve machine breakdowns according to priority and urgency.
- Analyse recurring machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Plan, schedule and monitor preventive maintenance activities for all production equipment and utilities.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to schedule.
- Monitor maintenance costs and utilisation of spare parts.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Production Department to minimise operational disruption.
- Develop, maintain and continuously update maintenance SOPs, work instructions and maintenance records.
- Maintain machine history records, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance records.
- Prepare and present weekly maintenance status reports during Weekly Meetings.
- Prepare and present maintenance performance, downtime analysis, improvement projects and action plans during Management Meetings.
- Supervise, assign and monitor daily work of maintenance personnel.
- Ensure maintenance team complies with safety requirements, procedures and company policies.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching and training to maintenance personnel.
- Monitor team performance and competency development.
- Ensure all utilities and facilities including compressors, chillers, cooling systems, nitrogen generators, electrical systems and factory facilities are maintained in good working condition.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and service providers when required.
- Lead initiatives to improve machine reliability, reduce downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
- Support production and quality improvement projects.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Update all maintenance activities, machine breakdowns, corrective actions, pending issues and improvement projects during Weekly Meetings and Management Meetings.
- Prioritise maintenance activities based on production requirements, business impact and operational risk.
- Undertake any ad‑hoc assignments, projects or responsibilities assigned by Management.
- Ensure proper care, usage and protection of company property, equipment, tools and assets to prevent damage, loss or misuse.
