Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to support upgrading and refurbishment projects in our Penang facilities. The role requires coordinating with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design, construction, and maintenance works run smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of building upgrading and facilities management experience, strong knowledge of M&E systems, and the ability to work independently on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in M&E Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in building upgrading/refurbishment works and facilities maintenance & management.
• Sound knowledge of M&E systems, coordination of upgrading/refurbishment works, and corrective & preventive maintenance.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Able to work independently and respond promptly to issues and problems on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing, monitoring and executing upgrading and refurbishment works.
• Manage daily maintenance tasks, including mechanical and electrical systems, building facilities, and general upkeep.
• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Prepare maintenance recommendations and seek management approval.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, and compliance documents.
