Job summary

Mahsuri Food Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a technically strong engineer to drive reliability, asset care, and continuous improvement across our high‑volume manufacturing operations.

You will lead breakdown analysis, RCA, maintenance budgeting, and OEE initiatives to reduce losses and extend asset life. The role covers project leadership for upgrades and capacity enhancements, scope development, URS, budgeting, installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and handover.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, maintenance engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on project experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or other high-volume production industries is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with quality and food safety management systems.
• Able to write and speak in Malay and English.
• Independent, self‑motivated and aggressive.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown analysis, troubleshooting, and effective asset lifecycle management.

• Analyze equipment performance trends and identify failure patterns.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement programs.
• Establish maintenance standards and asset care practices.
• Monitor OEE and implement actions to eliminate chronic losses.
• Develop long-term asset lifecycle and replacement strategies.
• Lead machine upgrades, replacement projects, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
• Develop project scope, URS, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage equipment installation, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and handover activities.
• Execute automation, modernization, and process improvement projects.
• Support facility expansion and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance work orders are planned, prioritized, and completed effectively.
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and plant maintenance activities.
• Optimize manpower utilization and maintenance resources.
• Manage contractors and maintenance service providers.
• Ensure equipment readiness to support production requirements.

Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

Ensure maintenance work orders are planned, prioritized, and completed effectively.

Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and plant maintenance activities.

Optimize manpower utilization and maintenance resources.

Manage contractors and maintenance service providers.

Ensure equipment readiness to support production requirements.

Job Specification

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or related technical disciplines.

Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on project experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
