Job summary

APS-Manja Sdn Bhd, a leading sauce manufacturer in Malaysia, is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee its sauce production plant. You will ensure smooth operation, efficiency, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality standards.

You will lead production scheduling, manage budgets, coordinate across departments, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement to meet targets and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Operations Management or related field
• At least 10 years working experience in overseeing sauce manufacturing plant
• Preferably Manager specializing in Sauce production operation or equivalent
• Excellent communication skill, both oral and written in English & Bahasa Malaysia
• Ability to work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment and numerous deadlines
• Effective time management, strong organizational and planning abilities
• Attention to details in problem solving
• Good People Management and inter-personal skill
• Result oriented and client focused

Responsibilities

• Approve daily/shift production schedules and line allocations within agreed capacity
• Authorise overtime, shift changes, and temporary manpower adjustments within approved budget
• Escalate major quality, safety, or compliance issues to HR as per escalation matrix
• Recommend disciplinary action, remunerations for direct reports in line with HR policy
• Coordinate and facilitate inter-department and inter-section production flow
• Prepare, monitor and verify daily report on set production target, stock/inventory levels and production output
• Supervise production flow, processes and manpower to ensure compliance and adhere to quality, delivery target and stock availability
• Trouble shoot to resolve production delays, down time and problems
• Plan continuous periodical competency & Safety training for production/Maintenance team
• Prepare annual budget and track production costs to control expenses

Job description

To ensure manufacturing operation processes run smoothly, cost effectively and deliver products within timeline. Accountable for efficiency level on production output for each production lines and sections. Ensure finished products met the quality standard and within the allocated timeline and budget.

Key responsibilities

About you
