Job summary

Tenpower in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee routine and corrective maintenance of production equipment and facility systems at our on-site facility.

You will implement preventive maintenance plans, inspect equipment, diagnose faults, coordinate repairs, document activities, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability while ensuring health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for production machinery and facility systems.
• Experience in Maintenance Engineering, including troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Skills in Preventive Maintenance, with the ability to plan, schedule, and execute routine checks.
• Electrical Maintenance capabilities for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in industrial equipment.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field is preferred.
• Experience in battery manufacturing, electronics, or other high-volume industrial environments is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals, and use maintenance tools and diagnostic instruments effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work on-site, support shift or weekend work when required, and comply with workplace safety standards.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Maintenance Engineer role is based at Tenpower's facility in Selangor, Malaysia. The Maintenance Engineer will perform routine and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing faults, coordinating repairs, and documenting maintenance activities in accordance with company standards. The role also involves implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance plans, supporting equipment installation and commissioning, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve reliability and safety. The Maintenance Engineer will follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
