Job summary

BP Plastics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure machine performance, reliability and production targets in a Malaysia-based facility.

You will lead Technicians, plan preventive maintenance, analyze breakdowns, implement CAPA, and support TPM and new equipment installations while controlling maintenance costs and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve machine performance, uptime and reliability to achieve production targets.
• Plan, coordinate and follow up preventive maintenance activities and maintenance schedules.
• Analyze machine breakdowns, identify root causes and implement CAPA.
• Lead and supervise Technicians and ensure compliance with company rules, safety and work procedures.
• Support TPM, continuous improvement projects, machine modification, new equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Monitor maintenance records, spare parts usage and maintenance costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for spare parts, services and technical support.
• Support troubleshooting, trial runs and engineering activities to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost and energy reduction initiatives.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Good knowledge of machinery, equipment and maintenance practices.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to attend on-call when required.
