Job summary

UNITED CAPS KULIM is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability and proper maintenance of production machinery, robots, equipment, and facility systems. You will implement preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, manage spare parts, and support continuous improvement to minimize downtime.

Candidates should have a technical diploma or degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics, plus 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant maintenance, engineering, facilities, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience troubleshooting production machinery, robots, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to read schematics and manuals.
• Willing to work independently and outside normal hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs for production machines and equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities according to schedule and monitor results.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance on machinery and robots.
• Investigate recurring problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before downtime.
• Maintain lubrication, cleanliness, and maintenance records; manage spare parts.
• Prepare daily/weekly maintenance activity reports and document maintenance activities.

Job description

To ensure the reliability, availability, and proper maintenance of production machinery, robots, equipment, and facility systems. The position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, spare-parts management, facility maintenance, and continuous improvement activities to minimize equipment downtime and support smooth production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs for production machines, robots, and equipment.
• Execute and monitor preventive maintenance activities according to the established schedule.
• Troubleshoot machinery, robots, and equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance.
• Investigate recurring equipment problems and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before they result in production downtime.
• Ensure machines and robots are maintained in proper working condition and kept clean.
• Ensure proper lubrication and greasing activities are carried out according to the required schedule.
• Monitor and maintain facility and utility systems supporting production operations.
• Take ownership of maintenance spare-parts control and monitor stock levels.
• Prepare daily/weekly maintenance activity reports and maintain accurate records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, or manufacturing.
• Experience in troubleshooting production machinery, automation equipment, robots, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, or hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Able to understand basic electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Hands‑on and practical approach to technical problems.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and support maintenance activities outside normal working hours when required.
