Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Mainframe Communication Server (Network) Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Mainframe Services team in Cyberjaya. The role focuses on IBM z/OS Communication Server, TCP/IP, SNA/APPN, and security with AT-TLS and RACF.

You will design, implement, and optimize enterprise mainframe network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Expats currently in Malaysia are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in IBM z/OS Communication Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Mainframe Networking (TCP/IP & SNA/APPN).
• Hands-on with CICS, DB2, and system programming on z/OS.
• Experience in security features: AT-TLS, RACF, certificates.
• Ability to design, implement, and tune mainframe network infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support IBM z/OS Communication Server environments.
• Perform system programming activities for z/OS.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot TCP/IP and SNA/APPN networking.
• Provide technical support for Mainframe Communication Server and connectivity.
• Perform tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Support CICS, DB2, and scheduling tools; manage utilities.
• Configure printer setup within the mainframe env.
• Resolve production incidents and network issues.
• Install, upgrade, and migrate relevant software.
• Configure encryption like AT-TLS, RACF keys, and certificates.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, security teams; create docs.
• Participate in on-call, change management, and DR activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in IBM z/OS System Programming, Mainframe Networking (TCP/IP & SNA), and Communication Server administration. The role involves designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise mainframe network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support IBM z/OS Communication Server environments.
• Perform system programming activities for z/OS Operating System.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot TCP/IP and SNA/APPN networking.
• Provide technical support for Mainframe Communication Server and enterprise network connectivity.
• Perform system tuning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Support CICS, DB2, scheduling tools, and software application management utilities.
• Configure and maintain printer setup within the mainframe environment.
• Analyze and resolve complex production incidents and network-related issues.
• Perform software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and migration activities.
• Configure encryption technologies including AT-TLS, RACF Keyrings, Digital Certificates, and SSL/TLS security.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, storage, and security teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Participate in production support, change management, system implementation, and on‑call activities.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices.
• Support banking or financial applications running on IBM Mainframe platforms.
