Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned mainframe software engineer to design, develop, test and maintain insurance applications on mainframe platforms. You will translate business requirements into system specifications and technical solutions, handle batch and online processing, tuning, incident management, and root cause analysis.

Additionally, you will drive mainframe modernization with test automation, CI/CD, and integration with modern platforms, leveraging AI-assisted tools like GitHub

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, preferably in a mainframe environment.
• Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2 and VSAM; Assembler is an advantage.
• Experience integrating mainframe with modern/open-standard platforms.
• Financial/insurance industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile, Azure DevOps/Boards, GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Copilot.
