Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment within the production facility. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, read technical drawings, and assist in installation and commissioning of machinery.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics, 1–3 years of related experience, and a PW2/PW4 license is an advantage;

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience maintaining manufacturing machinery.
• PW2/PW4 wireman license is advantageous.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Physically fit for a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment within the production facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, and other production machinery.
• Inspect, maintain, and service plant utilities and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical panels, schematics, and manuals for maintenance activities.
• Assist in installation, modification, and commissioning of machinery and production lines.
• Work with the production team to resolve equipment issues and improve machine reliability.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety policies and regulatory requirements.

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment within the production facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and other production machinery.
• Inspect, maintain, and service plant utilities and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine checks on electrical panels, wiring systems, switchgear, and mechanical components to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of machinery, equipment, and production lines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals for maintenance and repair activities.
• Work closely with the production team to resolve equipment issues and improve machine reliability.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in maintenance of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Possess a valid Malaysian Wireman's License (PW2/PW4 or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, motors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems will be an added advantage.
• Able to diagnose equipment faults and carry out repairs independently.
• Physically fit to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Willing to work overtime or attend to emergency breakdowns when required.
