Job summary

Binaan Desjaya Sdn. Bhd. (BDSB) is seeking a capable M&E professional to coordinate, monitor, and supervise M&E works at the Ranau project site in Sabah.

The role requires reading and interpreting drawings, liaising with consultants and authorities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of site experience in construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction projects; highway/infrastructure exposure is a plus.
• Good understanding of M&E systems, installation practices and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor, and supervise M&E works at the project site.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, clients, and authorities on M&E matters.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Ensure M&E installations follow approved drawings and project requirements.
• Monitor progress and resolve technical or site-related issues.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks for safety and quality compliance.
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, and project records.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in construction projects. Experience in highway or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of M&E systems, installation practices, and construction standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to be based at project site at Ranau, Sabah.
