Job summary

Binaan Desjaya Sdn. Bhd. (BDSB) seeks a Project Manager to lead a major infrastructure project in Malaysia. You will manage the project team and ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget, while liaising with consultants and authorities for approvals.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ construction experience are required, along with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate resources and meet deadlines.

Job description

Manage and lead the project team to complete the assigned project in a timely and cost-effective manner.

To ensure that project objectives are achieved, and projects are delivered successfully in accordance with agreed scope, time frame, budget, quality and safety standards.

Liaise effectively with consultants and other government authorities in getting necessary approval.

Monitor the works carried out by the sub-contractors and to ensure the works are conformance to relevant specifications and standards and to the Approved Designs.

To review and monitor site work productivity and arrange for resources as required.

Managing the work progress against plans, contractual arrangements, and delivery milestones.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction industry in major infrastructure project.

Self-motivated and results oriented with high level of integrity and professionalism.

Good organizational, communication and relationship building skills, resourceful, result-oriented, customer‑centric with the ability to multi‑task.

Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia with excellent communication and writing skills.

A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent.

Understanding of financial aspects of running a project on time and on budget.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.

Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction.

Strong leadership, managerial, mentoring, counselling skills with good interpersonal skills.
