Job summary

1498295-W is seeking a capable M&E Coordinator to oversee electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other building services across multiple project sites in KL, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak. You will review drawings, coordinate with architects, structural and subcontractors, and ensure works meet drawings, specs and schedules from inception through handover.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, with hands-on site monitoring, documentation and coordination across teams

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience coordinating M&E works in construction or building services projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection, ACMV and related building services.
• Ability to review drawings, technical submissions, specifications, method statements and project documentation.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills when working with consultants, contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Ability to monitor site progress, quality, safety, testing, commissioning and handover requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all M&E works across construction projects to meet schedule and quality expectations.
• Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions, specifications and method statements before site implementation.
• Liaise with project team, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on M&E matters.
• Monitor M&E subcontractors to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards and project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress, quality and workmanship of M&E installations.
• Coordinate material submissions, shop drawings, RFIs and consultant approvals.
• Ensure M&E materials and equipment meet approved specifications and submissions.
• Identify discrepancies, coordination issues and site constraints and follow up for resolution.
• Coordinate M&E services including electrical, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection, ACMV and other building services where applicable.
• Attend M&E coordination, technical and progress meetings and follow up on actions.
• Monitor M&E inspections with consultants and ensure defects are rectified.
