Job summary

Blue print properties sdn bhd is seeking an experienced HGV driver to operate and maintain a lorry, delivering construction materials and equipment to project sites across Kamunting and the surrounding region.

You will plan routes, ensure on-time deliveries, perform safety inspections and maintain logs. The role requires a valid HGV licence, clean driving record, and at least three years of relevant experience in a construction or bulk-material setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Heavy Goods Vehicle or Lorry licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of professional lorry driving experience in construction or related sectors.
• Knowledge of road traffic regulations and load securing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a lorry in safe and roadworthy condition at all times.
• Transport construction materials, equipment and supplies to project sites on schedule.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet project deadlines.
• Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage and fuel consumption.
• Adhere to traffic regulations and safety legislation throughout all trips.
• Communicate delivery schedules and delays with site supervisors and dispatch.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained inside and out.
• Assist with manual handling and unloading when required.

Operating and maintaining a lorry in safe and roadworthy condition at all times

Transporting construction materials, equipment and supplies to project sites in a timely manner

Planning and executing efficient delivery routes to meet project schedules and deadlines

Conducting pre-journey and post-journey vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues or defects

Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage and fuel consumption

Adhering strictly to traffic regulations, speed limits and all relevant safety legislation

Communicating effectively with site supervisors, project managers and dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any delays

Keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained both internally and externally

Assisting with the manual handling and unloading of materials where required

What we're looking for

Valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Lorry driving licence with a clean driving record

Minimum 3 years' experience driving lorries in a commercial or construction environment

Comprehensive knowledge of road traffic regulations, safety standards and best practices for load securing

Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to identify and report vehicle maintenance issues

Excellent time management and route planning capabilities

Physical fitness and ability to safely lift and handle heavy materials

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with site teams

Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to meeting delivery schedules

Full medical fitness for HGV driving and willingness to undergo regular health and safety checks

Preferably, experience in the construction or building materials transportation sector
