Job summary

ING HING HONG TRADING SDN. BHD. is seeking a reliable lorry driver to join our central Sarawak operations. The role emphasizes safe loading/unloading, accurate receipt and delivery of goods, and strict adherence to transport regulations.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, basic on-site repairs, and ensuring all paperwork is properly signed and recorded. Candidates should have a Class D or E license with GDL and 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Possess valid Class D or Class E driving license with GDL.
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional lorry driving experience in a commercial or logistics environment.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or accidents.
• Strong knowledge of traffic regulations, road safety requirements and transport compliance.
• Excellent vehicle maintenance awareness and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual loading and unloading tasks.
• Punctuality, reliability and a strong commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper goods loading and unloading
• Make sure accurate goods are received and delivered in good condition, correct quantity, and in a timely manner
• Report any goods damages or incorrect items or quantity to the superior pre-delivery, during delivery, and after delivery immediately
• Ensure with an attendant that documents are signed and chop by customers during receipt, filled with driver and attendant's name, lorry number, and date of delivery before passing back to the admin
• Undertake appropriate daily/monthly routine vehicle maintenance checks and weekly general cleaning of the lorry
• Perform housekeeping at the workplace and practice 5s system.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance in the event of an accident or breakdown.
• Obeyed with all local, state, and federal laws of carriages including load securing to ensure worker and goods are kept safe in the transit process
• Assist with container unloading when necessary
